3. Licensing or Certification

No medical license is required. Providers must secure Initial Provider Certification from the Wyoming Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Section, renewed every 3 years.

 

4. Responsible State Agency

  • Wyoming Department of Health (WDH): Oversees waiver compliance and provider certification
  • Wyoming Secretary of State: Handles corporate entity registrations

9. Pre-Application Training

Staff must complete mandatory online WDH modules and provide training summaries (Form EX24) for:

  • Rights of Participants & HCBS Standards
  • Notification of Incident Process (IRIS)
  • Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) Prevention
  • In-person certified CPR and First Aid

 

10. Additional Notes

  • Non-Duplication: Cannot be billed simultaneously with Day Habilitation or Supported Employment
  • Goal Tracking: Every outing must directly map to a distinct goal within the participant's Individualized Plan of Care (IPC)
  • Conflict-Free: Case managers cannot have a financial interest in the service-providing agency
