6. STAFFING REQUIREMENTS

Role: Food Service Coordinator / Vendor Liaison
Requirements:
Knowledge of nutrition standards and food safety
Experience in meal planning and dietary accommodations
Training Requirements for All Staff:
HIPAA and confidentiality
Safe food handling and delivery documentation
Emergency response and wellness check protocols
Abuse prevention and mandatory reporting
7. MEDICAID WAIVER SERVICES
Home-Delivered Meals are reimbursed under:
Delaware Lifespan Waiver (administered by DDDS)
Delaware Medicaid (under state plan for limited populations)
Older Americans Act-funded meal services (via DSAAPD)
Approved providers may deliver:
Hot, frozen, or shelf-stable meals to participants’ homes
Wellness checks during delivery
Daily, weekly, or bi-weekly delivery options
Documentation of each delivery attempt and any concerns observed
